In 1997 Umag got the status of the city whose territory extends to the surface of 87,57 km². It is placed on the North of the peninsula of Istria. Past 10 years Umag has developed into a modern touristic city. Every summer you can come to a tennis tournament Croatia Open that has made this city famous all over the world. Umag has opened the Folk Open University “Ante Babić” that is responsible for organizing cultural activities. The museum of the city is placed in a historical core and keeps a valuable collection of archeological findings. Umag has an interesting history. It all began when Roman patricians discovered him and decided to take the city as their summer residence. The city kept ruins of an ancient city walls and forts and Renaissance and Baroque buildings. The most popular is the church of St. Pelegrin. Umag is a real heaven for professional athletes and people who want recreation and healthy and active vacation.

Hum is placed in a middle Istria and has a 24 inhabitants and in Guinness World Records takes a place of a smallest city in the world. The city was built in 6^th century and it kept its appearance ’till today. It is consisted of 3 parallel rows of houses from east to west, 2 streets that segregate them and one square by the city gate. In the city you can find a tavern built in 1976 that is arranged in a traditional istrian way. On the way to the city you will come upon the glagolitic alley, line of 11 glagolitic monuments placed between Roč and Hum. The town is full of frescoes from 11^th century. Hum is also a home city of biska -  made of “komovica”, mistletoe and 4 kinds of grass, the receipt that is 2000 years old. This little town has its spirit with a rapturous history, but despite everything that he’s been trough the city is still alive.

Pula has a population of 58.594 inhabitants. Geographically is settled in Croatia at the 44.86 Northern degrees and 13.84 Eastern degrees. The city has situated in Istria as the biggest port of the peninsula. The port exists for the centuries and till now days is the transit harbor and economic point of Istria. The Mediterranean sky has influenced on the beautiful nature, suitable weather, amazing herbal and animal land cover and the beautiful beaches. Pula is full of cultural and historical monuments which where once the most important features of the city and today are the valuable treasure and tradition. Many notabilities are protected and safeguarded and even under the UNESCO’s guard. Today Pula is the most developed Istrian city.

Istria has a population of 210.000 inhabitants. Geographically is settled Croatia at the 45.05 Northern degrees and 13.94 Eastern degrees. It is the biggest Croatian peninsula covered with the amazing nature. Istria is divided in three parts: White Istria is the limestone area; Grey Istria is covered with the clay soil and Red Istria rich with the red soil and fertile land. It has developed in the tourism as well in the economy and agriculture. Istria has numerous national and nature parks, protected nature places, and cultural notabilities. It is well known of a unique natural treasure, the Truffle, a valuable and famous mushroom. Every settlement in Istria has rich historical and cultural remains of the many colonies which lived here thousand years ago.
