Hum - the world’s smallest city
Hum is placed in a middle Istria and has a 24 inhabitants and in Guinness World Records takes a place of a smallest city in the world. The city was built in 6th century and it kept its appearance ’till today. It is consisted of 3 parallel rows of houses from east to west, 2 streets that segregate them and one square by the city gate. In the city you can find a tavern built in 1976 that is arranged in a traditional istrian way. On the way to the city you will come upon the glagolitic alley, line of 11 glagolitic monuments placed between Roč and Hum. The town is full of frescoes from 11th century. Hum is also a home city of biska - made of “komovica”, mistletoe and 4 kinds of grass, the receipt that is 2000 years old. This little town has its spirit with a rapturous history, but despite everything that he’s been trough the city is still alive.
