Istria - Region in Croatia

Istria has a population of 210.000 inhabitants. Geographically is settled Croatia at the 45.05 Northern degrees and 13.94 Eastern degrees. It is the biggest Croatian peninsula covered with the amazing nature. Istria is divided in three parts: White Istria is the limestone area; Grey Istria is covered with the clay soil and Red Istria rich with the red soil and fertile land. It has developed in the tourism as well in the economy and agriculture. Istria has numerous national and nature parks, protected nature places, and cultural notabilities. It is well known of a unique natural treasure, the Truffle, a valuable and famous mushroom. Every settlement in Istria has rich historical and cultural remains of the many colonies which lived here thousand years ago.
